TIP Horses- Gentled Mustangs Available for Adoption

What is a TIP Horse?

A TIP horse is a BLM branded mustang who has been trained by an approved TIP Trainer to halter, lead, pick up all 4 feet, and load on a trailer. They are available for adoption to approved adopters through the BLM for a fee of $125.

Adopted: From Wild to Mild

Success Stories

Here you can see previously adopted horses through the TIP program. Many adopters choose to continue training once the adoption is complete. We offer those services and would be happy to start your mustang under saddle, give lessons and guided training sessions to help you adjust to your new horse, and assist with anything else you may need.

Wild Azalea- ADOPTED by Alyssia Tomko

Wild Azalea was gathered from the Beattys Bute Oregon HMA. She competed against Delta and Trainer Cara Cagno in the 2015 Extreme Mustang Makeover, was adopted, and then, at no fault of her own was returned to the corrals when the adopters did not have time to keep up on her care and training. Generally, TIP Horses only have minimal training, this gal was already saddle broke and competition ready at one point, it will just take some tuning up to get her back there. She re-completed her TIP requirements and was adopted by Alyssia Tomko of Payette, ID.
